While on our March 2021 trip, visiting Steve’s mom in Fort Myers, Beach, Florida, we knew we wanted to walk along Lover’s Key Beach. Lovers Key Beach is located in Lover’s Key State Park in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. This is one of our favorite beaches in the area. It’s white sand and scenic paths makes it a perfect place to stroll! Even though I have blogged about this beach in the past, I felt it was worth another post!
Location
Lovers Key Beach is located along the Gulf of Mexico, just south of Estero Island and over the bridge on Estero Boulevard. We parked just on the other side of the beach which gives good access to the beach and then we were able to loop back around over the boardwalk, past the Ranger Station and down the road. According to Fit bit we tracked 2.86 miles.
Lovers Key Beach
It was a bit of an overcast morning but still a beautiful walk. Not only did we see lots of water and sand, but we enjoyed the almost eerie washed out trees, cactus, flowers and seashells. As a matter of fact, there are a lot of seashells on this beach!
Our Path
Conclusion
As I mentioned, we really love this beach. It is a bit off of the beaten path but much more quiet than the main beach at Fort Myers. I am sure we will be back when we visit Steve’s mom again in June. Lovers Key Beach is definitely worth a visit if you are in this part of Florida.
