Boulder Falls in Colorado is beautiful 70 foot waterfall which flows into a creek below. As a matter of fact, the falls are sometimes referred to as “The Yosemite of Boulder Canyon”. In addition, this scenic waterfall is easy to get to and just a short distance from the road. We visited here early August of 2020. It is a very busy place but we noticed that people did not tend to stay here long.

Location
The Falls are located about 11 miles west of Boulder, Colorado off of Boulder Canyon Boulevard. In general it took us about a half hour to drive here from downtown Boulder. There was a lot of road work when we were here so with this in mind you may want to allow extra time. All in all, the drive is very scenic and if you look around, you will see rock climbers in several areas on either side of the road.
The Falls
Parking at the falls is limited, but there is additional parking along the road. This is a short out and back trail. In fact, from the trailhead to the falls is only 100 yards. It is an easy trail but there are steps. Altogether, we probably spent about 30 minutes here.

Conclusion
If you are looking for a quick hike, in theBoulder Colorado area and love waterfalls, Boulder Falls is for you! It also is a great stop if you are driving from Boulder to Nederland.

Beautiful waterfall ~ looks like a wonderful area to visit 🙂
Thanks! It was very nice!
So glad you posted these photos. We may not be able to get back to Colorado, and we’ve never been to this area. So your captures are important to us. A really pretty place!
It was pretty! Definitely worth it!
Somehow we haven’t made it here yet. Probably because Boulder Canyon has been under construction for about 2 years now…. Nonetheless, I’m adding it to the list for next time we head out that way!
We were fairly lucky through the construction but it looked like some folks waited quite a long time!
The road was completely closed for a while, so the fact that it’s open again must mean they’re almost done 🤞🏻
The construction was closer to Boulder so hopefully they are at the end!!!
I would love to go to Colorado and other parts of America one day after covid is over. This looks beautiful. 🤗
Traveling internationally again is something I look forward to as well!!
seems like a perfect way to spend 30 minutes!
We thought so!
