Sometimes hikes are not the perfect scenario we have in our mind and become more difficult than planned. In May, 2018, I found this to be true, and due to many factors, my hike up the Bright Angel Trail at the Grand Canyon was much more difficult than it needed to be. Thanks to the generosity of strangers, this hike was all the more special.
