Welcome to week #20 of Ordinary Photos. January is not the most exciting month here in Iowa but this week I started a new soon to be ordinary thing. I went back to work as an RN after retiring from nursing a little over a year ago! More about this in photos below.
This week I tried a new recipe for baking bread and we loved it! I found this recipe for Greek Country Bread in my new cookbook, A Drop of Ladi & My Greek Soul, by Krystina Kalapothakos. If you love to cook and love Greek food you can follow her Word Press Site at this link Kouzounas Kitchen!
Hot tea has been our go to for these cold January days and nights. Can’t seem to warm up without it some days!
So far I love my new job! I am administering the Covid Vaccine for Polk County Health Department. It is an outdoor drive through clinic. People pre-register then drive to the clinic, check in and park in a tented spot. After asking pertinent questions and answering theirs, if all is well we administer the shot. The patient pulls over to another area where they wait for 15 minutes and are assessed for side effects or anaphylaxis. That’s it! The patient never has to leave their own car!! Very easy and very convenient!
A bit chilly but bundling in layers helps!!
That is all for this weeks Ordinary Photos #20. I am feeling really blessed this week to be a small part of this fight against Covid. Stay safe everyone!!
