Welcome to Ordinary Photos of an Ordinary Week #12. I am finding out even though I feel like I do the same things everyday that no week is ordinary. Looking for something good in each day has not always been easy, especially as here in Iowa Covid continues to climb. We had an extraordinary event at the end of the week so that was awesome!

Our neighborhood has several of these placed along the sidewalks. I have never seen these until we moved to this area but what a great idea. If you have finished a book you drop it off for others to read and you can pick up a book someone else has dropped off for you to read!

I hadn’t made cookies for Steve’s office in awhile so I made a double batch. He was on call and was called in, so he took a plate with him to the ER. I was glad I made extra as our healthcare workers can use some extra kindness right now.

I again this week took a walk in downtown Des Moines. This time I walked the Riverwalk Trail. It’s nice to get out of my neighborhood and visit areas I usually just drive by.

Big event of the week!! My son was married and we couldn’t be happier for them! It was just the two of them, but wow what a beautiful place!!! Although I would have loved to be there, we will celebrate when it is safe to gather again!!
That’s it for this week! Pretty ordinary except for the extraordinary event of my son’s marriage!! Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!!

Not ordinary at all. Love your curved bridge. Very similar to our new bridge. Congrats to the happy couple. A beautiful couple under trying times. Stay well Lori. Allan
Thanks, Allan! These are trying times but all
We can do is go with it I guess! Tony and Melanie are a great match and I am so happy they did this now and didn’t keep postponing and waiting for the pandemic to be over. Take care! Lori
Those cookies look delicious! Are they soft baked (I’m partial to those)? Wishing your son a happy new married life, and for many years to come!
The cookies are softer on inside and crispy on outside. Thank you for the well wishes for my son!!
I recently saw an exhibit at a museum in Omaha, NE about Jim Henson and the Muppets. When I saw the plate of cookies, I couldn’t help but smile and think of a particular character. No matter the time or circumstances, a plate of cookies is always a welcomed sight. jerry
I agree! Cookies are the ultimate comfort food!
Congrats to your son!! And also those cookies look delicious 🙂
