If you have been following my series of Ordinary Photos is an Ordinary Week, this is week 4. I post pictures of things I see which are fairly ordinary yet I try to find the beauty or merit in the ordinary. Sometimes I have an extra ordinary object or event but I post things I have or can discover gratitude for and relate in my new normal life.

Just an ordinary wash day and drying my quilt on the deck! I don’t have a wash line so this works. I love the smell of a line dry blanket and it makes the bedroom more cheery!

Just some peaches ready to be made into jam!

The finished product!! I do enjoy making jam and used the jalapeños from my garden to give it a zing!

Flowers for our second year anniversary!

I have been driving by this little school for the past 30 years so it is an ordinary site. Decided to stop and walk around. Such a peaceful place!

Homemade birdhouse at the old school. I wonder how old it is?

The area behind the schoolhouse. Typical Central Iowa countryside at harvest.

Went to visit my daughter and granddaughter.

Just some daisies!

We ended the week on a road trip to Colorado and Utah. Visited my son and his fiancé and enjoyed a cocktail to finish off the week.
So this ends week 4 of ordinary photos. We are road tripping the next 2 weeks and since all scenery will be in my regular posts I am going to try and find ordinary photos along the way!

Xtra-Ordinary. Thanks for sharing Lori. Ordinary is good these days. Allan
Yes it is!!
I am really enjoying your “ordinary photos” series. I take photos of old vernacular churches throughout Alabama and your school house is just the type of traditional architecture I am attracted to.
Glad you enjoy! I love seeing little old schoolhouses sound the country, most aren’t in good of shape as this one!
Granddaughter! Worth everything!
She certainly is!!!

Oh, those lovely peaches. I wish they would stay around longer. At least you know how to preserve them — I just have to wait until next year!
