Welcome to week 2 of my series of mostly ordinary daily photos of my week. Since Covid, time has slowed down for many of us and our new norm is lasting much longer than I ever though. Regardless, there is much to have gratitude for and make our everyday lives more meaningful.
The following are my photos for the week ending Sept 12th. We had an extraordinary event this week but otherwise just taking one day at a time!
My son became engaged and I am so excited for him and his lovely bride to be! Couldn’t be happier to welcome her into the family!
We went for a hike along Lake Red Rock here in Iowa. Saw these daisies beneath the bridge where we were hiking. Butterflies and bumble bees! All ordinary but never really paid much attention to these before!!
Nothing but rain over the next several days! Woke up to raindrops on my window Tuesday.
More rain on Wednesday. I love the view from my deck of this tree, love watching it change with the seasons. Even stately in the rain.
I lit candles around the house on Thursday to brighten up the place as the weather was still rainy and dreary because candles give a nice warm glow. Plus beautiful fall scents!
Still raining on Friday. I made some protein/energy balls for our upcoming hiking adventure in a couple of weeks. These freeze easy and are great on the trails! Recipes will be in my Thursday post!
Despite the cooler temps and dreary weather my Day Lillies were a welcome site and still looked good when the rain stopped on Saturday.
Thanks for following along with my week 2 of ordinary photos! Hopefully next week’s ordinary will have more sunshine!!
